Adoption really isn't that popular any more. People have read too many headlines about courts taking children from adoptive parents years after the process because they birth parents want their kids back. The truth is, this kind of forced birther imposition of adoption as a woman's only "choice" will lead to children placed in care, where they will likely stay until they age out of the system – many to repeat the cycle of unwanted pregnancies.

And, no one can argue that growing up in institutionalized care is better for any child.
