…25+ years, you should receive retirement benefits for those 25 years as soon as you apply for them. That is more than ten years, which is the only eligibility requirement for retirement benefits. SSA doesn't care when you worked those ten years. If you worked from the age of 21 to 31 and didn't apply until your 60s, you are eligible.

Again, I hope so. But, the casework said if you had not worked the PREVIOUS ten years, you are ineligible.
