Again, you are mistaken. Yes, there is about 30% of people who cling to the rightwing ideologies. They are predominately white-identity fundamentalist evangelicals, backed by extremists like neo-nazis, the Proud Boys, the KKK, etc. However, it is NOT that they see themselves in a higher position. They have been scared into the delusion that an inclusive society means LESS for them. They fear the increasing inclusivity in our society. They've been deluded into thinking if someone not-them has a fair chance and an equitable future and equal justice is taking opportunity from them.

Again, I find your statements incorrect and out of touch with the realities unfolding in the parties here in the States. Moreover, the Biden initiative are already taking hold. Infrastructure is being built and ugraded RIGHT NOW. Over six million more people have been added to the insurance rolls; over five million were added in 2022 – all thanks to Biden's shoring up and expanding the ACA that Republicans tried to erase no less than 70 times in Congress during Trump's first two years. This year, Social Security recipients will get the biggest raise since the 1982 intiative by Carter Administration went into effect in 1982. Medicare and Medicaid are also being expanded THIS year. More funding for school lunches is already in place and most schools now offer free and healthier breakfast and lunch in public schools.

Democrats are NOT just playing for votes. They are making tangible and substantive change to lift up the poor and the middle class. I'm sorry if that doesn't prop up your Asimov-fanboying perspective. But, if you'll actually look at what's happening in the world right now, the outlook is much brighter than you're imagining. The world is united against the most egregious authoritarian political actor of the day – Putin. Things are not going his way on the political stage. Countries are aligning with democratic ideals.

It's a slow turn, like trying to turn a massive cruise ship on rough seas. But, things are turning. The signs are there if you'll actually see them. It's never going to be perfect. That doesn't mean there aren't people earnestly trying to bring democracy back to its founding ideals.
