Agreed! It's also not cool to drop your medium links on completely out of context topics without any comments pertinent to the article to which you're responding – either in Medium or on a FB share of your Medium articles (something that seems par for the course on FB).

The only time I share a link is if it's pertinent to the topic at hand. For example, today, I read an historical piece on the history of serial killer Amelia Dyer. I have a published poem about her on my free to read WordPress account and shared that – AFTER commenting on the writer's own historical essay.
