Did I want to do ad books of car sales or restaurant guides I was paid to design? No. But, my name was on them. I made the best damn ad books I could. And, I won awards for them. Do those rewards mean anything to me? Not at all. What means something to me is to know I created the best art I could even for crap ads.

I feel the same about writing. Of course, no one has hired me to write yet.
