As do I. I also know that Chris Rock has been punching down with his humor about Black women's hair for most of his career. It's a bit that's always worked for him. I believe he finally pushed that bit too far, as cruel humor always does eventually.

Don't get me wrong… Will Smith's response was flat-out assault. He could have made it a moment to end Chris Rock's career long bit and to raise awareness of Jada's medical condition. He could have just praised her beauty – because she's stunning. Still, I think the public's response to Will's slap was exaggerated. This is a man who had no history of such behavior, a man whose reputation was for kindness. Kevin Spacey got a pass for decades of arrogance and vile criminal behavior. But, Will Smith does one stupid thing and he's cast out.

Also, that Chris Rock and his brother are riding the backlash to puff up their relevance is more disgusting behavior.
