Because NOAA is a highly valuable commodity. The GOP's first priority is always going to be to shove more wealth generating commodities to the already über wealthy — and to make the rest of us pay. Taxpayers built NOAA. So now, they take what we built and turn around and hand it over to big business who will charge us for our own damn property!
