But that's not what's been happening.

We understand — and always did — that it's not all men. We wouldn't have married or fucked any of you if we blamed you all. However, the perp is always some man, even when boys and men are the victims.

When we try to tell our experiences, most men leap first to their own defense before they really hear women. I'd love to hear about "most men" leaping to condemn their own cohort when they hear "locker room talk." It'd be great to hear of "most men" reporting that talk if/when a woman files the charge.

I faced sexual harassment in every job I ever held. In not a single job did any man ever come to my defense. After I told him about some guy in my office finding excuses to brush against my breasts, my own father asked what I was doing somewhere the guy was able to do that.

That old movie trope of a good guy intervening in a bar when a jerk wouldn't take no for an answer is a virtual fantasy. My experience is that other guys are either amused or just don't want to get involved. The only defense I ever saw in the clubs was from gay men.
