Sometimes… rarely… when ya know, ya know. My husband and I moved very quickly too once we started dating. We'd been dating a couple of months when there was big round of layoffs at work. I was getting ready to go back to NC because I was one of the hundreds laid off. He asked me to stay and move in with him. We were married two months after that.

We met at work in April, started dating in August, moved in together in October, and married in December.

I wouldn't advise dating at work. I wouldn't advise moving in together so quickly. I wouldn't advise marrying so quickly. All of those things are bum standard no-nos in relationship building. But, we were both 28 when we married and we knew what we wanted in a relationship. And, we knew we were giving that to each other. Thirty-one plus years later, we remain the exception to how that kind of thing usually goes.
