Daisies and Mums
Fine Art Creation
Below is an original pen and ink drawing of my signature flower, daisies, with chrysanthemums. Once upon a time, in the misty depths from my youth, I was in a starving artists group. Many of my art creations incorporated daisies in some way — so much so that I became known in that very limited circle as “the Daisy girl.” To this day, I still have a penchant for drawing the flower and/or working daisies into artworks.
Pen and ink is among my favorite mediums. In fact, I often use it in conjunction with other forms for mixed media artworks. If I recall correctly, I spent around three hours on this piece. My husband and I owned a little café at the time and this piece was one of a set I created for sale in our in-store Art Corner — most of the rest of the pieces in this set sold.
Below is an original pen and ink drawing of daisies with chrysanthemums, entitled “Daisies and Mums.” The drawing was done on 70-lb art paper. I used EF (extra fine) and medium pen nibs for the varying width lines.
