Do they, though? Which of the Ten Commandments can they claim never to have broken? Could they even tell you what those commandments actually are? I can practically guarantee they won't know the Beatitudes beyond the last two:

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.

Because they use those two as proof they're "righteous" when they're challenged and reviled for their oppression and marginalization of the most at risk people in society.
