For me, it's arthritis and severe asthma. Full disclosure: My arthritis is my body's payback for being such a rough and tumble kid and for all the damage I did to it running full tilt at everything. I've had so many accidents, tumbles, falls, sprains, and breaks.

The asthma just progressed for years, years that included uncounted rounds of broncitis and more than a dozen bouts with pneumonia. Then, after the medical crisis – which included a pulmonary embolism and yet another bout of pneumonia – my lung health remains diminished.
