God is love — agape love. And, I believe our purpose in life is to be living reflections of that love into the world To me, that is what it means to be created in the image of God.

Also, it just happens to more correctly align with the ancient Hebrew language terms we lazily translate in English as "likeness" or "image" of God. The ancient Hebrew did not mean we look like God. It meant something more akin to the ancient practice of kings sending representatives or stewards to the far corners of their kingdoms with the authority to speak with the king's voice.
