Governance for the majority? The rightwing GOP is the white-identity party. They are anti-diversity, anti-democracy. They are a dominionist theocratic coporatist party of fear and hatemongering. Theirs is an agenda of cruelty toward the majority. They've turned the 2nd Amendment into a tool of their tyranny so that none of us may feel safe as they threaten all our rights, and threaten everything covered under the 14th Amendment, while determinedly undermining the 1st and the 4th Amendments. From book banning and CRT hysteria (suppressing knowledge and education) to privacy and reproductive rights (oppressing racial, sexual, gender, and marriage equality), to freedom of religion (undermining The Establishment Clause), voter suppression, take away our healthcare, and much much more… all deleterious to the majority of people— the GOP is bent on tearing down our constitutional democratic republic to impose their Dominionist vision of a theocratic corporate feudal state where we are all required to just shut up and work until we die, and to keep having babies for their system. Under them, only the rich and mega corporations will have any rights.

That you compare the republican GOP to the Democrat party is telling of where your propaganda is coming from. It's not just shortsighted to refuse to see the difference – your way of thinking is the problem.

Democrats are doing their level best to bring economic equity and equal justice for every demographic – that's what "governance for the majority" looks like. Dems want to expand access to education, expand voting, expand access to healthcare, build infrastructure for the 21st Century (and employ millions along the way), raise children out of poverty, make the rich and corporations pay their fare share to contribute instead of just take-take-take. There’s so much more on the Dem agenda seeking to improve the lives of the majority. How is any of that fascist? They're not perfect, but they are trying and they are worlds apart from the current fetid GOP.

I certainly wish there were more viable party choices. But, right now, until the GOP is no more, there is only one compassionate and reasoned choice for anyone who cares about people – people like that 10 year old rape victim or the children of Uvalde – and that is the Democrats.
