Have you thought about urbexing or rurexing? Those words mean "urban exploring" and "rural exploring" respectively. Urbexing is photographing abandoned spaces in urban settings. Rurexing is do the same in rural spaces. They are both popular kinds of photographic adventuring. If you do take up photographic adventuring, be sure to research it a bit first. It really is adventuring and there can be some risk. The most common risk is trespass consequences.
But, abandoned spaces can also have some risk inherent in the site. For example, when I go rurexing, a common risk is floor rotting or ground subsidence.
Also – never ever take anything away from a site. Photgraph everything in situ – do not move things or arrange stuff in the space for your shot. Your photos should only ever be as you find the site.
