He learned those lessons very early. A couple of mom's in a mall play area called him "sand n-word" – making sure I heard them. The worse thing though, was most of those lessons came from my own damn kin.

But, he's turned that to making his corner of the world a better place – to reflecting God's love into the lives of people in the most dire circumstances. He's an EMT.
