He should go to prison if found guilty. However, it's unlikely that will happen even with the most left-leaning judge in the nation. As a former POTUS, he is assigned a 24/7 Secret Service security detail for the rest of his life. That security detail can neither be stripped from him nor turned over to any other authority, like the prison system for instance. Neither would that security detail be assigned to follow Trump around in prison. Logically, Trump cannot be imprisoned in a general prison population or any such facility. I think the best we can hope for is permanent house arrest, cut off from connectivity, with visitations restricted just as they would be in actual prison. His security detail would be made into his jailers.
