How old is your daughter? Has your community begun offering apprenticeship jobs? Paid apprenticeships are a growing trend. There's even a government oversight agency within the US Dept of Labor – Apprenticeship.

My 18-year son is already onboarded for our county's EMS apprentice program, straight out of his HSCA magnate highschool. He graduated a fully certified and licensed EMT. As soon as hired officially by the county EMS, he begins working for full pay as an EMT for six months; then, they will pay for him to go paramedic training at the local community college and fit his work schedule around his classes. After two years, he'll be a board-qualified paramedic. His intent is to use that work to pay for his goal of becoming an emergency medicine doctor.
