I almost never read a new follower just because they followed me. I will reciprocate if they read and comment intelligently on one of my posts. I also don't follow back just for someone following me.

I will give someone a chance with reciprocation. But, if their writing is consistently poor – or I notice things are off, I will drop them from my attention. For example, I recently came to realize that one of the "writers" I've been following is plagiarizing content for their videos. I should have figured it out sooner because their writing is very poor indeed. But, the person is recovering from a stroke, so I put that down to the reason for the poor writing. The person has a rather large following; I can but presume for similar reasons to my own. But stealing someone else's videos and revamping them to look like your own is full on plagiarism. That's a big no-go for me!
