I appreciate David Perlmutter and full believe he is a real person. There are numerous factors shooting down any idea that his account may be a bot.

David doesn't post all that often, himself – going weeks at time without posting new work. When he post, he almost always makes two posts – one a new article and one a directory pointing to the new article. And, a lot of his posts are reposts from some other platform or previous writing. Also, as a beta reader and someone who has worked as a copy editor, I can tell that at times, his writing is rushed and his narrative is not fully fleshed out, as if he felt he needed to get something up and so put out his latest first draft. Also, he comments meaningfully on too many posts in a very directed and personal fashion.
