I began with drawing. I kept sketch diaries from my early tween and teen years. I would jot down "notes" on what I wanted my pictures to say as I developed my drawings. Someone later pointed out that the notes were poetry. I honestly had never realized before then.

I wish I still had all those old sketch diaries.
