I can't remember where I read the paper… But, I read a paper about the proliferation of peanuts in our foods and non-food products. The paper postulated that the proliferation may be a driver of the increase in allergies to the legume. The same paper talked about some of those other theories too. It projected that when science understands the problem, it will be a combination of thing, but that the proliferation will be a main reason.
