I do hope you'll give the show another try now that Davies is back. Not only is Davies back, but rumor has Tennant and Catherine Tate back, as well as Bernard Cribbins' final performance before his passing! The new Doctor will be portrayed by Ncuti Gattawa.

Also, it was Chibnall who forced out John Barrowman. Davies loves Barrowman. So does pretty much everyone else in the cast and crew. I hope Davies brings back Captian Jack. Chibnall ruined him too!
