I don't agree that makes any benefit to her. She can't be trusted. You cannot have the kind of loyalty and bone-deep connections we all crave with other people if those people cannot trust you. And, when you behave in ways that cannot be trusted, you expect not to be able to trust anyone else.

My son is tenacious and persistent to achieve all his goals and get what he wants. However, he cares about the feelings of others and he never chooses to behave in any way that might upset or hurt someone else. He is also honest and forthright in all his dealings. He still gets what he wants, but he holds the respect and loyalty of those who know him because they know they can ALWAYS trust him.

We have a colloquialism in English that has sadly fallen out of use, "His word is his bond." It began as a financial or business declaration – that the person was honorable, trustworthy, responsible, and wise in business. It came to mean that a person whose word is true can be trusted in all things.
