I don't think I ever received either a "Chosen for Distribution" or a "Top Writer" – I know I've never gotten the boost.

I did get an email from Medium encouraging me to apply as a pub editor for giving out boosts. But, neither of the example writers I shared were boosted; and, I've yet to hear if I've been accepted as a booster.
