I got my information from researching multiple sources and scholarship in the university library when we were assigned the research in my grad school "History of Western Art and Culture" course. The author of the website may be confusing the Greek goddess of the same name; but, the Roman goddess of that name apparently developed independently of the Greek one. A lot of people actually make the mistake the website author made.

The long proven, traceable, and repeatable scholarship is that our calendar system is entirely adapted from the Roman calendar, using Roman cultural names for it.
