I got those too. All those redhead slurs in the form of jokes or teasing – the most frequent being, "I'd rather be dead than red on the head." <<<sigh>>>

The "redheaded stepchild" stuff didn't help either.

Every show of temper or irritation was due to being a redhead – never because someone did something infuriating or mean.

And then there's that rediculous nonsense that redheads eat souls – that's why we have freckles.
