From my experience, it seems the likely outcome.

I grew up in a far rightwing conservative fundamentalist evangelical environment. They never sat us on their lap and tried to teach us to kill the LGBTQ. But, my own mother told us that Black people are Black because it's the mark of Cain – and that for that reason, white people and Black people shouldn't intermarry.

Aged about 7 or 8 and still without the nuanced disernment of scriptural allegory, I quite innocently asked, "But, if the Flood killed everyone except Noah's family, wouldn't that have included Cain's descendents?" She was not best pleased. To her credit though, I never heard her say that again. She just defaulted to the "be not unequally yoked" scripture – which had nothing to do with interracial relationships.
