I grew up in suburbs and rural towns. I live in a rural farm town now. The only time I ever lived in the city was in college in Memphis.

I'd rather live in the city. I just can't convince my husband we'd be better off in a condo than a house. I also don't think we could afford a condo. They cost far more than our modest little house for half the square footage – plus, they have high HOA fees.

But oh… how I wish I was in the city with public transit giving me access to the museums and galleries, to a wealth of people-watching places, and no yard work!
