I have to agree. I mean, the reason they kept Pete Rose out of the Baseball Hall of Fame is not becuase he gambled, but because he bet on his own team while he was playing.

If gambling is legal, as long as players don't gamble on the teams for which they are actively playing, there seems no legitimate grounds to punish them.
