I just read everyone who comments on my posts (well, barring trolls). Then, I read the folks to whom I subscribe. If I have time and a will to do so, I'll often cross check clappers with highlighters and read something of theirs. But, just clappers are bypassed.

And, in my notifications, if I spot a clap-jumper, I make a note of that person's profile to avoid. You can spot them in the first hour after they've clap-jumped because their claps all appear within a minute or two. It's humanly impossible to clap on any post of mine and two minutes later clap on something else if you've actually read it. Almost entirely, my posts are over three minutes read time each.
