I know lots of men of my age who were like that. And, the generation before… well, Father had four daughters for whom he never once picked up sanitary needs. He wouldn't even drive us to the store to do it because he didn't want to be seen paying for it.

Then, there's Hamid. He was born and raised in Iran. He never even knew anything about it. He wasn't allowed to know. Yet, it never even occurred to him to balk over buying my sanitary products. He'd even ask for help in that aisle. Sure, he ended up with the wrong product a few times. But, even then, he had no qualms about taking it back to exchange at customer service for the correct thing.
