I loved the movie, personally. He is the reason, though. Eric Roberts made a great villain as the Master – his take is a calculated insanity as opposed to Sascha Dawan's completely unhinged insanity.

I also have loved everything I've seen McGann in. He is a very compelling presence, regardless of the role.

I have not seen "Withnail and I." I'm in the States and I don't actually have access to all his work. I've seen maybe half a dozen things he's been in. But, I was introduced to him in the Doctor Who movie.
