I must vehemently disagree. Eccleston and Rose and CPT Jack. Loved them from the first episode to the last.

I also have to disagree about skipping around. Yes, modern viewers should probably start with the reboot. But, there's a story arc viewers may miss if the skip ahead. In fact, I would recommend starting with the Paul McGann movie. Then, Eccleston. It will make the War Doctor's revelation all the more poignant. And, you need to see every instance of the Master to grasp their story arc.
