I NEVER ever do so. I only follow people whose work interests me. If they don't have at least enough examples of their work for me to discern my interest, I do not follow, even if they've followed me. I might – I reiterate might – give them a read for read.

The way I see it, my profiles are like rooms in my home. I get to decide who makes it off the front porch to be welcomed into my circle. And, just because you make it into the livingroom, doesn't mean you'll be sliding your feet under my table.

Women especially have always had to face down demands for our attention, our presence, and even our thoughts – demands for our very selves. We are under no obligation to give ourselves away just because it's demanded.
