I tend to agree. He's been boosting his own relevance by going after Black women's hair issues over his entire career – even using is own daughters' Black women's hair for his standard routines. I also have long felt he's been using the Smith's to increase his relevance maybe as long he's known them, but certainly since the 1990s. He's always shown a comfort with going after Black women with his humor in particular, IME.
