I the studies I've seen, I find it interesting that the lists of reasons for conflicts always include financial stressors among causes for the conflicts – yet, financial stressors still get a separate category in causes for divorce. It's even sometimes included as being among the stressors which lead to lack of commitment and/or infidelity. It seems financial stresses factor in some way into all the other causes for divorce – including abuse; abuse is often triggered by financial issues. A first or second placement for leading causes seems more accurate, IME, given that distinction.
I don't understand the calculations of causes for divorce that places things like that. How can something that factors into all the causes be only the fifth leading cause? It doesn't make sense to me.
