I think, as an artist, I learned long ago that no industry was going to reward art for art's sake. I came to writing with the perspective that it too is an artform, and with the same sense as with my artwork. I write to create something that speaks to souls.

Sure, I'd love a big contract and payoff. But, my artist's soul must speak unfettered.
