I think God speaks to people and times and in places in ways that best serve the needs of those groups and/or times. But, the core of love remains universal. The rest is man's or culture's imposition.

I also believe that to be “created in the image of God” doesn’t mean likeness. I believe it means our purpose is to be the reflection of God who is love.
