I think men in general have been socialized not to think about the consequences of behavior by some members of their sex. If they dragged into the daylight and examined it, they'd feel compelled to do say something. They'd be expected to do something. And, that would make them uncomfortable.

A male dominated society programmed some not to pay attention to any of it. It's the same society that programmed women to feel guilty over it, and to feel pressure to keep silent about it.

But, I'll tell you what I know. I think when men in general do drag it into the daylight, most of them will say something. And, they try'll to do something about it.

That can't happen if the knee-jerk reaction is to attack the truth women keep trying to tell. It can't happen while the response is to blame women for sharing that truth.
