I think that's true of every culture. There are always those who believe the propaganda. Their belief props up the systems pushing the propaganda. In the States, that's affluent white-identity, mostly male white-collar citizens. There's also an element in the States of white blue-collar, often economically disadvantaged men who seem convinced they are just temporarily disadvantaged millionaires. They've been convinced through propaganda that if women, non-whites, and immigrants have equal rights, that they will have to give up their own equality.
