I thought your infelction was familiar. My husband is also Persian, from Abadan.

May I recommend a few resources to help you grow in your writing?

The Little, Brown Handbook is a standard and, to my mind, an excellent grammar textbook; you can find it on Amazon.

• A thesaurus is an invaluable companion resource to your English dictionary and your Persian-to-English dictionary; if they have something similar to a Persian thesaurus, I recommend adding it as a companion to the English thesaurus. You can find a really good thesaurus online at https://www.thesaurus.com/

• Compose your articles in the word processor on your computer – not in the online platform. A good word processor will have an in application grammar and spellcheck system. I find my Mac Pages checker or a MS Word checker to be superior to Grammarly. However, Grammarly can also be a good source, and it's online.

• Read great writing. One of the best ways to learn to write well is to read excellent wordcraft. Try authors like Charles Dickens, Emily Dickenson, Jane Austin, Georgette Heyer, Lois MacMaster Bujold, Robert Aspirin, Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, etc – all clean reads and all available free in most public libraries. For free online clean reading, I highly recommend Ann Idan Berg: https://www.wattpad.com/user/AnnaIdanBerg

• Keep a journal for writing. Write every single day. Just to practice, try to write, in your own words what you've read and loved in books. And, proof read and edit. Then proof read and edit again.

Good luck. I hope your voice is magnified and celebrated.
