I understand your perspective. However, these cases are applying the Constitution. Trump had his "day in court" during the Jan 6th hearings. Those hearings clearly showed he violated his oaths of office and the 14th Amendment. Politicians like him and his co-conspirators are the reason for that amendment.

As for making MAGAs angrier… well, I'm sorry for them, truly. But no; we will not — nay, cannot — make them angrier. I grew in those circles decades before Trump's movement gave them a name. They've been there stewing in the background of America since at least the end of the Civil War. Anger is and always has been their default — they live a life clenched in anger and judgement and denial, longing to impose that existence on everyone else.

Hate is a mental illness, a kind of addiction. What they really need is substantive and qualified psychiatric care. Deep down, they know it too. That's why they are so opposed to therapy and counseling intervention. Like all addicts, they will kill for their drug and fight anyone who tries to cure them.
