I was in the same position after I had my only child at 40 years old – after trying for 12 years to get pregnant. But, my own mother told me, when I had a pregnancy scare, that if I was pregnant again, it was God's will and God would decide if I had another baby or died in the trying.

Thank heaven my husband disagrees with that stance. And, thank heaven he got a vasectomy after that scare.
