It's always a constant struggle to between earnings growth and artistic growth. I worked as a graphic designer while trying to sell my art. For a brief time, I was fairly popular as a young artist, known locally as "the daisy girl." There's been nothing much earned with my art in 20 years now. But, my writing is growing an audience. So, fingers crossed, that will become a fair supplementary income when my husband and I are relying on SS (soon now, within four or five years).
