I worry about that too. Even ordinary German soldiers go into those camps planning on brutalizing prisoners. They were tasked with implementing a brutal system's order which they didn't resist — which transformed them into the monsters the nazi decision-makers wanted them to be.

Every choice not to resist wrong is a step closer to casual cruelty. And, every cruelty is falling into evil's embrace.
