I would also point out that Paul specifically proclaims that he himself adheres to that stricture. He did not say God or Jesus told him it must be that way. He makes it clear it is his choice, his expectation of how women should be seen and treated.

And, that Paul's declaration is contrary to what Jesus actually did – like placing Mary in the center of the disciples at His feet… the most privileged place for followers of teachers and philosophers in that era; and, it was the women at the tomb to whom Jesus first appeared and who He sent to deliver the gospel Good News of His resurrection to his male disciples who'd locked themselves away, cowering in fear.
