I'm not a mechanical or technical drafter. I don't use CAD or other drafting software. I'm actually a traditionally trained visual artist, using artisan techniques in oil, acrylic, tempera, watercolor, charcoal, pastels (both oil and chalk), pencil, and pen & ink. I've even done fabric art as well as metal and clay sculpture, though I have none of those pieces any longer. For me, Photoshop "painting" is just another way to apply those artisan techniques.
