I'm not a new writer. I've been here since around 2016, became a partner in 2022, and a FOM this year. I did receive three boosts when they were first introduced. But, nothing since last October. And, only one of the boosts was efficacious. The other two earned little, just seemed to attract lots of bots and clap jumpers, and tanked my read ratio. Of course, I never benefitted from top writer nods at all — not a single one ever.

The boost system is flawed. But, I do think it could be good — at least, better than the top writer nod system was. Maybe awarding the boost is too reliant on who you know. Perhaps there needs to be a more objective assessment of the quality of writing.
