I'm not sure we're sensing that someone behind us is looking at or watching us. However, I do believe we can sense another person behind us. There's so much about the body that gives off and receives signals we're not consciously aware of. Smell, for instance, may not be overtly noticeable; but, the subliminal smells of hormones and pheromones are always there.
